DETAIL ITINERARY
DAY 01: ARRIVAL VIENTIANE
Note: All Museums in Vientiane close on weekends.
Let say “Sabbai Dee” (Hello) as arriving in Laos, you will receive warm smile from the friendly locals. Hugging a bend of the Mekong River, Vientiane is a quaint and easygoing place compared to other frenetic capitals in the region. Meet with your guide upon arrival. Stroll about the city to admire French colonial architecture sits next to gilded temples. Spend your day visiting to the city’s major historic sites including the serene Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple that survived the Siamese war of 1828 and boasting over 8,000 Buddha statues; Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home of the Emerald Buddha statue that today contains a collection of Buddha statues, antiques and artifacts found in and around Vientiane; That Luang Stupa, the symbol of Laos and whose original, smaller stupa contain a piece of the chest bone of Buddha; and the Patouxay (the Arc de Triomphe), built recently in commemoration of those who died during the wars of the past and offering a sweeping view of the city from the top. DAY 02: VIENTIANE CITY TOUR
Embark on one-hour drive southeast of the city to Buddha Park, a fanciful sculpture garden full of Buddhist and religious images dating back over 500 years. Of particular interest is a giant concrete pumpkin, its three-level interior representing hell, earth and heaven. Return to your hotel to relax  before visiting the weaving home-studio of Mrs. Carol Cassidy, an American textiles expert who arrived in Vientiane in 1989 as part of a United Nations project to promote traditional weaving, and who since set up the Lao Textiles Studio. The Studio today has over 40 weavers creating naturally dyed and woven silk pieces reflecting traditional Lao designs. End the day watching sunset on the bank of Mekong River. Overnight at hotel in Vientiane.

DAY 03: VIENTIANE - LUANG PRABANG
After breakfast at hotel, check out and transfer to the airport to take onwards flight QV111 (09h15 - 10h10) to Luang Prabang. Note: As per local regulations, only 16-seater minivans are allowed in the old quarter. Time seems to stand still in Luang Prabang, a city with all the charm of a quaint European town mixed with the wonderful, woodsy spice of Asia. The city is small, and it seems everywhere can be reached by foot. Upon arrival at the airport, meet with your guide and transfer to town. Start visiting this sacred city of temples with a visit to the National Museum (closed on Tue), the former Royal Palace housing a collection of valuables including the famous Prabang Buddha statue and gifts from foreign dignitaries. Other muse-see places include Wat Visoun, the 16th century temple that served as a small museum for religious artifacts; Wat Xiengthong, the 16th century temple said to be the most beautiful temple in town, epitomizing all the elegance and grace of Luang Prabang architecture; the privately-run Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre (closed on Mon) featuring clothing, household objects, religious artifacts, and tools of Laos’ ethnic groups. DAY 04: LUANG PRABANG - PAK OU CAVES 
Note: With the Morning Alms Giving, if you do not wish to make an offering, please keep an appropriate distance and observe the ritual in silence. Dress appropriately – shoulder, chest and legs should be covered.
You have the option to wake up before dawn to witness and participate in offering alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks - an awe-inspiring sight for many travelers. Please tell your guide if you wish to make an offer so he/she can prepare some food for you. This early morning ritual dates back generations in Laos. Watch the town come to life in the morning and then return to hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, transfer by tuk-tuk, little motorcycle-powered truckbeds with benches, to boat docking station. Embark on 02-hour local motorized boat (or surcharge on the more comfortable La Residence boat) on the Mekong River to visit the famous Pak Ou Caves where hundreds of gilded and wooden Buddha statues are housed inside a towering limestone cliff. Stop by at the local primary school en route to get a glimpse of the education system and infrastructure. If you wish to give something back to the community, ‘practical’ things such as books, school bags and clothes can be purchased locally. Drive back to Luang Prabang and indulge in a late lunch at Tam Nak Lao restaurant in the old quarter. Later in the afternoon, set out to Phone Say village which lies hidden along the Mekong River and where the women weave while men fish on the Mekong River. A vehicle cannot reach this charming village; however, it is only a half-hour walk from the main road. This is a good chance to experience a real Luang Prabang life by interacting with local people. Opt to visit night market, the only nightlife of this laid-back town, for traditional textiles and handicrafts made by the hill tribes. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

DAY 05: LUANG PRABANG - HANOI
After breakfast, you are free at your leisure for shopping until check out hotel and transfer to the airport to take onwards flight QV315 (15h00 - 16h00) to Hanoi. On arrival at Noi Bai International Ariport, you are met and transfered to hotel for check-in. Hanoi - Vietnam’s capital, is a stylish and gracious city that retain an unique old world charm and some Asia’s most striking colonial architecture. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 06: HANOI CITY TOUR
With ochre-colored colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and scenic lakes, Hanoi is full of charm. Start the tour at the historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Mon & Fri & all afternoons and from Sep 10 until Dec 10 for re-embalmment); an imposing monument lavishly built using marble and granite, and where the preserved body of “Uncle Ho” resides. A short walk from the mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda – resting on a single stone pillar emerging from the water, it is shaped like a lotus flower on its stalk. Inside is a statue of the Goddess of Mercy with its legendary “thousand arms and thousand eyes”. Wind your way afterwards to the Temple of Literature, the first University for the sons of mandarins, for an overview about Hanoi culture and ancient Vietnamese architecture. The serene Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mon) is 30-min drive out of town and offers a chance to get to know Vietnam’s 0504 ethnic groups better. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple than take a cyclo (pedicab) tour ride around Hanoi old quarter. Enjoy the special Vietnamese traditional Water Puppet show before back to hotel.

DAY 07: HANOI - HALONG BAY (170km) / OVERNIGHT ON JUNK BOAT
Morning depart for Halong Bay, we go through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. Heading out of the town we embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay. This exciting five hour cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. Stay overnight on the Junk Cruise.

DAY 08: HALONG - HANOI - HO CHI MINH
Waking up and having breakfast served onboard. Continue cruising around the bay. Take sampan to visit Luon Cave and come back to the boat. Having brunch before disembarking and van will pick you up at the pier and transfer back to Hanoi. Visit Dong Trieu ceramic and pottery village on the way. Continue to airport for flight VN1165 (19h00 - 21h00) to Ho Chi Minh city. Pick up on arrival and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Stay overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh city.

DAY 09: SAI GON CITY TOUR - CU CHI TUNNELS
In the morning, the tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and today you will visit all interesting sites and landmarks in Ho Chi Minh city. First stop is Notre Dame Catholic Cathedral and short visit to French built Post Office nearby, and then we will proceed to see the Reunification Palace, formerly the Presidential Palace governed by the US-pro government of Republic of Vietnam. Touring the building and then we will visit the War Remnants Museum, which primarily contains exhibits relating to the American phase of the Vietnam War. Break time for lunch. In the afternoon, we drive to Cu Chi district, 50 km to the Northwest of Ho Chi Minh city, the tunnels of Cu Chi are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The Cu Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam's base of operations for the Tet Offensive in 1968. Touring the areas and then you will be transferred back to Ho Chi Minh city. Free time at leisure or shopping at Ben Thanh Market nearby.

DAY 10: HO CHI MINH - MEKONG DELTA - HO CHI MINH
This five hour river cruise takes you through Vietnam’s most productive agricultural area which produces 38% of the country’s annual food crop. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of coconut palms, sugar-cane groves and fruit orchards from the vessel as you head to the Cai Be floating market. Here you can cruise through the colourful barges full of fruits and vegetables and then proceed to local home factories such as rice paste making, rice pop corn, coco candies, and longans drying processing. The trip continues along the Mekong canals to Dong Hoa Hiep Island located between Vinh Long and Cai Be. Along the way you will find the local people engaged in their daily tasks and see brightly coloured Khemer pagodas. Stops on the way can be made upon request for particular visits or photos making. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people. Arrive at La Residence de Phu An resort where you will be welcomed and served Vietnamese culinary delights. You will then walk along a narrow canal to an air-conditioned vehicle that will transport you back to Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 11: HO CHI MINH CITY - SIEM REAP
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight VN3819 (08h35 - 09h55) to Siem Reap. On arrival in Siem Reap, transfer to visit to Angkor Wat the temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks - the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond. Continue to Bantay Srey temple, regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, we proceed to visit Ta Prohm, one of the most beautiful temples in the area. Ta Prohm has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery and victory gate of Angkor Thom. The Bayon Temple is unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. And we also take the boat cruise (Kongkear Angkor) onto the Tonle Oum south gate of Angkor Thom leading to the west gate. Of course, this time, other than your leisure & entertainment purpose, this boat activity has produced a number of jobs to our villagers, the origin Khmers who are living the nearby villages of Angkor Thom to get incomes for improving their living standard and also help proper schooling of their children. Return to the hotel.

DAY 12: SIEM REAP TOUR
Pick up from the hotel, and drive to the remote Beng Mealea temple through the typical Khmer countryside (60Kms from Siem Reap). There is a lot to see in the approximately 02 hours drive as it takes you through many lively villages and along kilometers of rice paddies. Explore the long abandoned temple (11th century), strangled by the jungle.  Continue your way to the foot the mountain, where Preah Vihear temple locates. We will then take a 04 wheel drive (pick-up truck) from the foot of the mountain to reach the Preah Vihear temple. Located at Svay Chrum Village, Kan Tout Commune, Choam Ksan District, on the mountain rank of Dang Rek (Preah Vihear Mountain is 800 Meters×400 Meters). Preah Vihear temple, which took over 300 years to complete the construction by a few famous Khmer kings, was firstly built from 893 by the king Yasovarman I who ruled the country from 889 to probably 910. The majority of temple edifice was established by king Suryavarman I (1002 - 1049) and finally the temple was completed during the reign of great king Suryavarman II (1113 - 1150), the well-known king who was the founder of magnificent temple of Angkor Wat at Siem Reap province (Rooney 2006). King Suryavarman II known as a great khmer king who dominated the Khorat Plateau, Lopburi and even further north in Thailand and he extended the Khmer Empire to the border of Pagan in Myanmar; and south into the northern part of the Malay Peninsula (Coe D. 2004). The main purpose of the temple is the mountain temple which is the symbol of sacred mountain “Meru” where is the abode of all the gods of Hindu. The temple was mainly dedicated to the supreme god “Shiva” (Rooney 2006). Afternoon, return to Siem Reap, we journey down the mountain before continuing west to Anlong Veng, one of the last Khmer Rouge bases to fall to the government forces. We stop to visit the house of Ta Mok, the former military commander of the Khmer Rouge. We then continue south to Siem Reap, arriving as the sun goes down. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

DAY 13: SIEM REAP - PHNOM PENH
After breakfast, check out hotel and transfer to airport for flight K6 100 (08h50 - 09h35) to Phnom Penh.
Phnom Penh: Capital of Cambodia for much of the period since the collapse of the Khmer empire in the 13th century, Phnom Penh is an attractive city (despite the ravages of war and civil strife) which molds the stylistic influences of such disparate sources as Khmer, Chinese and colonial French. Arrival Phnom Penh, transfer to hotel for check in. Proceed to Phnom Penh City tour: The Royal Palace. Visitors are only allowed to visit the palace’s Silver Pagoda and its surrounding compound. The National Museum of Khmer Art & Archeology (also known by the French, “Musee des Beaux-Arts” or the “Musee Albert Sarraut”) is considered one of the finest museums of classical Cambodia art in the world. Wat Phnom has the legend that in 1372 Lady Penh (Yeay Penh) fished a floating KOKI tree out of the river. Inside of the tree there were four Buddha statues. She built a hill (Phnom means hill) and a small temple (Wat) at the site of what is now known aster the hill (Phnom) and its creator (Penh), hence Phnom Penh. Cambodian Culture museum and Killing Fields memorial - Tuol Sleng Museum. Central Market boosts the 05th largest dome in the world and comprises 04 halls offering a wide range of imported & local products. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

DAY 14: PHNOM PENH DEPARTURE
After breakfast at hotel, you are free at your leisure for last minutes shopping until transfer to the airport for your departure flight back home or next destination. End of service.
